This session will explore what it means to redefine rigour in today’s educational landscape, challenging traditional notions and offering new frameworks for meaningful learning experiences. In addition, this session explores the power of habit science in implementing and sustaining practices with students to meet and exceed learning outcomes while building the dispositions to be Expert Learners.

The Explicitly Right Approach
When Learning is scaffolded as Surface, Deep or Transfer, students move from acquiring foundational knowledge to applying that knowledge creatively and flexibly in a variety of contexts. Participants will explore sustainable approaches to ensure that students are equipped to be Expert Learners by teachers who are equipped with the right instructional strategies to be Expert Teachers.

A panel of experienced principals and leaders will share their insights on leading schools in today’s educational climate, focusing on practical strategies and lessons learned. This panel will discuss the key insights they have gained from their journey in ensuring high levels of teaching and learning and their path towards continuous improvement.
